Intended as a simple collection of love songs, the album introduced his piano-vocal adult alternative sound rooted in lyrical storytelling. The first single, “I Should Go,” gained AC radio play and later reached new audiences through Days of Our Lives, The Vampire Diaries, and The Apprentice.
